Police investigate shooting in NW Nashville, 3 juveniles injured

NASHVILLE, TN– Three juveniles were shot at in an apparent drug related incident on McDowell Drive Monday morning.

Police responded to a “shots fired” call on McDowell Drive in Northwest Nashville around 5 A.M. Monday. Upon arriving, police discovered a stolen car with the back window shattered, but no victims were found.

According to police, three teens were sitting in the stolen car on the cul-de-sac of McDowell Drive when the shooting occurred. Suspects got out of a car and shot at the teens, prompting the victims to flee the scene and hide in a nearby backyard. Two handguns and a small bag of marijuana were found in that same backyard.

Two of the three teens had non-life threatening injuries and were sent to the hospital. The third teen was taken into custody for questioning. All three teens have not cooperated with detectives.

No arrests are yet to be made and the investigation is still ongoing. —
